Well, are you tired of pictures yet? I promise this will be the last of them from our trip. Day three of our stay in Hawaii we spent at the beach again. This time, we found a different beach that was SO much nicer than the first one. The sand was so much finer than the first one we went to. Beach Bums!!

The seashell Carson found while walking down the beach. We were surprized to learn that there was still a little creature living in it so he returned it to the ocean so it could live with it's family.

Hupuna Beach

A sneeky little Leprachaun found us on St. Patrick's Day...he left a trail of shoes that led to a pot of gold!

Our actual last day to play, we went to the pool again. We stayed at a resort that was part of the Hilton, so we got to go use the pools at one of their other resorts, which happens to be the one we will be going to next year! It was so fun to get a glimpse at where we will be next year and what fun things we get to look forward to! Our highlight of this day was the dolphins. After Carson found out that we were going to Hawaii, he informed me that he was going to ride a dolphin while we were there. We were so lucky to find that at the other resort, they have a dophin training area where you can go and swim with the dolphins. We didn't swim with the dolphins, but they have a restaraunt that is right next to it. So, we enjoyed lunch while we watched the dolphins. Carson was so excited to see and watch them.

All the grandkids!

Watching the dolphins!

These were the random goats that were at different places on the resort. This was right outside our room. We later saw them on the golf course.

Dinner out on the town!

Chilling in the room!

Our last day, we had to check out by noon, so we loaded all our luggage into the cars and drove into the next town, Kona, and shopped the rest of the day. While driving around, we found the Kona, Hawaii Temple and decided to go see it. It's a tiny temple, but was beautiful!

Kona, Hawaii Temple

We flew out a little after 9 that night and arrived in LA around 5:30. We made it Denver around 11 and were scheduled to fly home to McCook around 1:30, but our flight was cancelled due to weather...lovely snow...and didn't end up flying out until 5:45. Needless to say, it was a VERY LONG day, but the boys were awesome! We had so much fun and want to thanks Grandma Foulger for taking us! We had a BLAST and miss seeing you guys!

Hawaii

Our first official day in Hawaii was spent enitely at the beach. The two oldest kids could hardly wait to get to the beach...so that's what we did. We found a beach not far from our condo. The sand at the beach was rather coarse, so it was a little rough on the feet, but the kids had a blast! They LOVED the ocean!!

Travis and Carson decided the shower was the perfect place to eat some breadsicks and cheese and sing/yell/scream while we waited for breakfast to come!
Headed down to the beach

Two thumbs up for the beach!!

Getting ready to snorkel! He was actually really good at it. Christian will be so excited to have a snorkeling buddy!

Cousins!!

Butt scooting down the hill

Travis loved throwing the sand in the water!

Grandma and the grandkids. My other niece, Isabelle was fast asleep in the stroller.

Our second day we decided to check out the pools at the resort. We found a great kiddie pool. It had waterslides, shooting water spouts, rocks to jump from, and was calm and shallow so we didn't have to worry about the kids being swept away by the waves.
Travis has an obsession with things being in his toes. He is constantly picking out the sock fuzzies, so when we hit the beach, the sand between his toes kept him pretty busy!
This is what his side of the island of Hawaii looked like. There was tons of lava rock and not a lot of green vegitation, which was different from the other two islands we have been to.
The second night, we had dinner outside at the bbq pits. We had hotdogs and and potatoe salad. Grandma brought the kids light necklaces and they had a blast wearing them and throwing them around like frisbees.

Carson enjoying his hot dog...yes...this is actually a smile not a grimace!

AlOhA!!

Last week, my two boys and I spent the week in paradise! My mom was kind enough (and my husband was nice enough to let us go without him) to take us girls (my sister, sister-in-law and her 2 girls) to Hawaii for 6 days! We had lots of fun playing at the pool and beach every day and doing some shopping!

Before we left, I wanted to do something creative to tell Carson that we were going to Hawaii...he loves the beach and had asked numerous times previously if we could go to Hawaii again (we went last year with all my family)! So, two weeks before we were scheduled to leave, the "trip fairy", as he called it, left him a piece to a puzzle each day in a little mailbox. At the end of the week, Carson had a picture of the beach and that's how he found out that we were going to Hawaii. He was SO excited!! The next week, the "trip fairy" left goodies in the mailbox that were for the trip. It was so much fun to count down the days with him and see him get more excited each day about going!

Day 1 of the trip: Airplanes, planes, and more airplanes!
The first day of our trip, we spent traveling...ALL day long! We flew from McCook, to Denver (where we met up with the rest of our group), then on to San Fransisco, and then finally to Kona. The boys did great on the flights and were so excited when we finally got there!
Fun at the Airports...

We finally made it to Hawaii and were greated by towel swans on our beds. Carson thought it was fun to wear them as a hat! We had fun the rest of the week...more pictures from the trip coming soon!

Chicks, Man!

Each Spring, one of the ranch supply companies here in town brings in a bunch of baby chicks, turkeys, and ducks, along with some bunnies and it is quite the hit with the kids. We end up visiting all the animals numerous times during the Spring...the boys LOVE them!! Well, we found out that the babies are here and so for family home evening Monday night, we took the boys to see them. The boys are so funny to watch..they get so excited and squeal with excitement. Here are some pictures from our first, and I'm sure not the last, trip to see them!

We have been having some crazy Spring weather...LOTS of rain and snow! Needless to say, I am SO ready for our trip to Hawaii! Carson wanted to go out and jump in the puddles and of course, Travis had to follow his brother! They sure had fun!!
