First Day of School

Last Monday(9-8-10), Carson started his first day of school. He goes three days a week for 2.5 hours. He is really seeming to enjoy it. Travis has really been missing having his brother around to play with in the mornings, but he/we are adjusting!

Labor Day weekend

We had a pretty fun-filled Labor Day weekend. We started early Saturday, by heading to the lake with some friends. I was a little concerned with how the day might go when we left the house at 9 in the morning and it was not even 60 degrees outside! But, it ended up being a gorgeous day and we all even managed to get a little sun kissed! We skiied and wakeboarded in the morning and then decided to stop at the beach and eat lunch and let the kids play in the water. By the time lunch was over, the wind had picked up a tad, making it perfect for a little tubing! We got home in the early evening and then made our way to watch the Huskers play and eat dinner with friends. Sunday, we enjoyed church, some much needed naps, and ended the day with games and food with some families in our branch. Monday, Christian had to work, but got done early and we were able to attend a bbq with some friends! Today, once again, we went to the lake with friends (we've been to the lake more in the last two weeks than we have in the last 3 years)! Christian mastered the wakeboard this trip and the boys both got to tube...their favorite part! It was a great weekend and we are so glad that we have such fun friends that are willing to party with us!

Travy's TWO!

Yep...it happened! My baby turned two yesturday! I can hardly believe it!! Yesturday, we had a mini celebration with just us. Travis opened his gifts from us and both set of grandparents, and got super spoiled! He LOVES all his new toys...and so does Carson! We sang happy birthday and the boys enjoyed some chocolate cupcakes. We spent the afternoon getting ready for his friend party, and canning a batch of salsa too...it was a very productive day! Christian got done early and was a huge help in getting things ready! He even decorated Travis' cake and did an awesome job...I didn't know he had such mad cake decorating skills!

Christian multi-tasking while decorating the cake!
This is what I caught Travis doing while we were working on stuff...silly kid!

Thanks to all of our family and friends that remembered Travis on his special day! He (and we) are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!

Happy Birthday, Travis! We are so glad that you are part of our family! We love your crazy teeth, how you always talk about farting (he is definately ALL boy), how you LOVE to snuggle (he's one of the best I know!), and how you suck your thumb! You're our favorite Travis in the whole wide world and we love you!!

Our new LoVe!

Last week, my mom made a quick trip down to see us and deliver the boat that we bought to us. Since we've moved to Nebraska, we've found that quite a few people around here pack up their boats and campers and head to one of the numerous lakes around for the weekends. We always thought it would be fun to have one since Christian works short days on Fridays and has weekends off. We started looking for boats last year, and then this year (especially after we took my parent's boat out once) we really got serious about it...like check craig's list every day serious! Thanks to a family friend who is in the car delership business, he was able to find us a pretty good deal on a boat...and we love it! We took it out once while my mom was here to check things out, and then survived our first family outing in it today (despite the wind). We are so excited to have it and can't wait to use it more next summer! I know we will make lots of fun family memories on this boat! Thanks again Mom and Megan for getting the boat to us...you guys are the best!!
