Graduation trip!

We're back...finally!!:) Almost two weeks ago, the boys and I, along with my mom who flew to McCook to drive with me, made the trip back home. We went home so we could watch my brother-in-law, Jared, and my brother, Jason, both graduate from high school. My made our trip a two day trip and spent the night in Casper. We shopped, ate at Sanfords (a really fun place to eat) and did a little swimming to the boys could get some energy out! The first few days of our trip were spent cleaning and planting flowers at my mom's house and visiting Grandma Asay's house. Sunday and Monday were spent going to graduation and visiting with family and friends. We visited our favorite restaurants while we were home and saw a couple of movies. We had so much fun seeing family and friends and were glad we could be ther to celebrate our brothers' big days!

Dinner at Sanfords...super fun restaurant wstuff to look at!!

A funny sign posted on a door at our hotel...only in Wyoming!

I got to enjoy lunch with my fun sister-in-laws one day. After lunch, we took the kids over to the park to play.

Playing at Grandma Asay's house. The boys loved feeding the sheep!

I was driving from Lovell to Powell one day and thought how beautiful Heart Mountain looked. It's not the greatest picture, because I was driving, but it was!

The boys enjoying the sponge balls their great grandma gave them!

Ooey, gooey fun!

For family home evening Monday, we decided to roast marshmallows over the grill, at Carson's request since we couldn't go camping to do it. But, it felt like we were camping because you could see your breath while we were outside! They were oh so gooey and equally yummy!

I just had to share a picture of my boys from Sunday...aren't they just handsome little guys? I sure think so!!

Who Would Have Thought...

...That a dollar something squirter could provide SO MUCH fun? My boys got these squiters last weekend and they have been entertained for HOURS this last week becuase of them! I just fill up a pitcher with water and they have a BlAsT shooting out the water! One of the things I like the most about them is that Carson can fill them up by himself and I don't have to be filling one up every 30 seconds like I do with the squirt guns! So, here's to water squirters and warm days!!

They apparently also make for an easy way to get a drink!

Get-a-way!

Today was our Stake Conference. Our Stake building is located in Kearney, NE, which is a two hour drive each way for us...giving us a great excuse to get out of town for the weekend and play a little. We started our day Saturday with the boys getting their May Day basket full of goodies and delivering some that we made to some friends. We got to Kearney just in time to drop Christian off for some meetings. We met up with a friend and did some shopping while we waited for our husbands to get out of their meetings. We also had the opportunity to attend the adult session that night due to the generosity of a couple of girls from our branch that were willing to watch our kids for us...that means Christian and I have been on a date two weekends in a row...go us!! After our meetings were all over, we met up for dinner with some friends and then went back to the hotel to swim. The pool was FREEZING and the hot tub was, well...HOT, so we didn't end up swimming for very long. Carson was rather disappointed!! He had been looking forward to it the entire day. After a room change (we couldn't lock the sliding glass door becuase it didn't shut all the way...nice) and showers, it was late and we headed to bed. Today we attended a really good Stake Conference. After church, we had a picnic with some other members of our branch on the grass. It was a beautiful day, so it was nice to let the boys get down and run around before we made them sit for another two hours in the car, and fun to visit with friends. It was a great weekend and a nice get-a-way before Christian gets super busy with the summer growing season!

Carson's first experience with crab legs. He loved them, but it took lots of team work for a little bit of meat! It was fun to watch him and his friend try to get the meat out!

Swimming fun...

Picnic after church.

Have a ever said how much my boys love cookies and milk? Well, they do. I go through twice as much milk in a week if I make cookies...especially chocolate chip ones! Travis recently discovered his love of cookies and milk too! He loves to get them and eat them stading at a chair...it's just the right size and oh, so cute to watch him dunk his cookies!
