Being Honest Pays!

Today, Travis had a good lesson in being honest. As we walked into a store today, he noticed what he called a credit card laying on the ground. He picked up what was actually someones debit card and brought it to me. I asked him what we should do with it and he said give it back. Not knowing who the person was on the card or if they were even still in the store, we gave it to one of the cashiers who thanked him for turning it in. As we were shopping, an elderly lady came up to Travis and told him that the cashier had told her that he was the one that found and turned in her debit card and she wanted to reward him (which I told her she didn't need to do)with a dollar for doing what was right! SO now Travy is $1 richer for doing what was right! Good job, Travis on doing what you knew was the right thing!

Team Jacob!

This Friday, we drove down to Casper to watch Christian's youngest brother, Jacob, wrestle at the state wrestling tournament. We didn't get to Casper until after he was done wrestling that day so we grabbed some dinner and headed to our hotel. We decided to take the boys swimming before the pool was taken over by wrestlers. The boys had fun swimming despite the cold water! After swimming, we got a visit from grandpa and grandma Asay who were staying at the same hotel. Saturday morning, we met up with grandpa and grandma Asay for breakfast and then headed to the events center to hunker down for the day to watch wrestling. I decided to make the boys some shirts to wear to root for their uncle jacob. I couldn't resist putting team jacob on them! The boys were super excited to wear them!!

We watched jacob wrestle once that morning and then went to our friends house the, Lewis', for lunch and to let the boys play with their boys. We got back just in time for the championship wrestling matches. Lovell ended up having three state champion wrestlers and took second place as a team(they lost by 1 1/2 points). After watching wrestling, we headed back to our hotel for pizza and some relaxation. (carson threw up that evening and was really tired...i think he has something sgainst wrestling because last time we watched state wrestling, he threw up and he and I ended up spending the evening in our hotel room). All three boys were really good the whole time. Carson ended up having a reaction to the penicillin he had been taking to clear up a sinus infection and broke out with a rash over his whole body. Luckily, I happened to see the doctor that delivered Landon and she came and checked him out for us and is looking a lot better now that she had us stop taking the medication. It was fun to be able to watch Jacob this year and see him really improve!

Heart Day

We had a very enjoyable Valentine's Day this year...for the most part. Carson had a party at school where they ate hot dogs and chips, looked at their Valentine's and had a pinata! Sounded like a great party to me. He informed me last night that he had a Valentine. I asked him who it was and he told me that Summer T. (a girl that rides his bus and goes to church with him) was his Valentine. I asked if she gave him anything and he said that she shared her candy with him on the bus and he shared a fruit by the foot with her. I thought it was too funny!

After school, we had Emily and her kids and Kasi and Britt come and decorate cookies with us. The kids didn't get near enough time to play together becuase we had reservations for dinner at 5:30. This year, my mother in law invited all the grandkids to come to her house for dinner and a party so that the adults could go out to dinner. We took advantage of it and made reservations at the good ole' Cowtown Cafe in Cowley. It was actually really good. Christian and I both had steaks that were great! The only downside was that we decided to bring Landon with us because I figured he would sleep the majority of the time because he hadn't napped all afternoon...well...he screamed pretty much the entire time we were there. We even had two different ladies we know take him and try and to soothe him so we could eat, but it only worked for a short amount of time. Needless to say, we snarffed down our dinners and headed back to pick up the other two. We should have just left him with grandma because he was happy as can be with grandma when we got back to her house...lesson learned! My boys were very generous to me and had a bouquet of iris' and lilies sent to me and a dozed chocolate covered strawberries! It was such a fun and yummy surprise.

Cereal!

Landon had his first taste of rice ceral monday (Feb. 13). It was the usual rice cereal in...rice cereal out! He actually ate a bit and didn't seem to mind it. Travis was super excited to get to feed it to him. In fact, at each meal, he asks if we need to get some ready for Landon to eat.

This is what happens...

when Christian is left alone with the boys for a minute! You end up with earplugs suction cupped to your head so that you look like a little devil! It sure gave us all a good laugh.

4 Months!

Landon had his 4 month check up yesterday and is doing great! He was 25 inches long (50%)and weighed 13 pounds 7 ounces (25%). He got two shots and was not happy about it at all...maybe he was more mad about the fact that we had to wait an hour before we even saw our doctor...who knows! He's such a cute little man. He's really discovered his hands recently and they are in his mouth a lot. He's started grabbing onto objects and LOVES to sit and watch his brothers be silly! Travis is the best at making him laugh and smile! We sure love this boy!!

Today while I was on the computer, Travis thought that Landon needed a super hero mask and put this on Landon. They made for some pretty cute super hero guys!

Carson survived!

Carson survived 100 days of school! His class celebrated the 100th day of school Tuesday. They each had to bring 100 edible items to put in the pot for their treat (which is in the baggie he is holding) and got to meet Zero the Hero (a math character in their classroom) who brought them doughnuts! It sounded like a pretty good day to me! It has been so fun to see how much Carson has progressed so far this year. His teacher is great! We look forward to hearing about his day (what he can remember...) after school each day. Good job on your first 100 days of school, Carson!

On the same day that Carson was celebrating 100 days, Travis wanted to cook some food for Landon and I. We got him out the play food and fry pan and spoon for him, but then he informed me that he needed something to cook it on. Lucky for him, we had a box in the house that we turned into a stove. When you don't have girls to buy a kitchen for...you have to get creative!
