Jack-o-lanterns!!

Sunday night, we got to carve our pumpkins. The boys each carefully picked out their designs that they wanted their dad to carve for them. This year, Carson and Travis BOTH cleaned out their pumpkins by themselves. We had to go in and scrap a little on each one at the end, but for the most part they did it on their own! In the end, we had a very nice happy pumpkin, a scary bat and a really cool skull!
starting to scoop out pumpkin guts. Lucky for us this year, the tall pumpkins didn't have a ton of seeds.

This was Landon's reaction to his pumpkin!

Then his dad made him try and touch it...big meanie!

He was ok to be around the pumpkin as long as he was being held. He even decided to touch a seed on his own.

Carson and his crazy face!

Travis thought it was a good idea to use his shirt and pants as his towel instead of asking for one!

This is what happens when Christian gets a hold of the camera.  We get random pictures of body parts!

Christian carving Landon's pumpkin.

After a while, Landon decided it was more fun to camp out under the table.

Travis pretending to eat pumpkin guts. He thought he was pretty funny!

After we were all done, the boys had fun using the little pumpkin carving tools to poke, scrape, and who knows what else to pieces of carved out pumpkin.

Some good looking pumpkins!

The last week!

This last week has been pretty uneventful, for the most part. Here are some pictures from stuff we have done in the last week!
Last Friday was Senior night for uncle Jacob. This weekend, they won their first playoff game and head to Big Horn this next week! We hope they win so we can go watch them play in the UW Stadium in the State Championship game!

For family home evening, we made caramel apples and ate them! I love caramel apples!

Friday afternoon, we trick or treated down town with Stetson and Kandace. It was our first time and we didn't quite allow enough time to get to all the businesses. We will know better next year what to expect. Here we have Landon, Carson, Travis, Stetson and Kandace.

My three monsters!

Landon enjoying the ride. It looks nice but it was quite chilly outside! Landon's poor little hands were popsicles by the time we were done!

Today, we made a trip to Cody as a family. The boys got these little play aquariums in their lunches from Wendy's and wanted to get some fish for them. We agreed to get some little 28 cent goldfish for their tanks. We decided later that it would be best for the fish to live in our old beta fish bowl instead of in the tiny little leaky tanks they got in their lunches.

Carson's new pet, Chief.

Travy's new little guy Tutter (which has been the name of our three or maybe four beta fish we have had). Landon has a fish too, but he hasn't been named yet!

Field trip

Yesterday, I got the opportunity to go with Carson's class, and the other first graders, on a field trip to Billings to a Corn maze. It was so fun to be able to spend the day with Carson...thank you mom for watching the other boys so that I could go with him!  At the corn maze, the kids were able to do TONS of activities. Here are some pictures of what we did:
Our first stop was the pedal cars. They had a track for the kids to drive these cool little pedal cars on.

Next stop was the slides. The kids spend quite a while on these two slides.

WEEEE!
We got to ride in these little barrel cows that were pulled around by a 4-wheeler. They took us on a ride around the corn maze.

Even I got to go for a ride.

There was a corn box...like a sand box but full of corn instead! The kids had corn everywhere after being in there!!

This is the little group I was in charge of.

One of the things that I thought was the coolest was the giant lincoln logs. They were pretty fun to work with.

Carson's class working together to build the house.

We got to pack our lunches to take with us. We ate on the straw bales and got attacked by wasps! They were everywhere.

Our biggest challenge was the corn maze! We definitely got lost and had to cheat to get out so that we weren't late getting back on the bus to go home. I can't imagine doing this at night!

There was a look-out bridge that you could climb to see where you were in the maze.

When you got to the top, you could see the temple!

AFter we made outr way out of the maze, the kids each got to pick out a little pumpkin to take back. Here is all of Carson's class with their pumpkins. There are really only 10 in his class...it's awesome!

Carson and his pumpkin. Can't wait to see what they do with them at school!
We did lots while we were there, but still didn't do everything! Maybe next year we can go as a family and do all the activities!

In these last days of nice fall weather...

We have been trying to take advantage of every nice fall day that we have before it turns icky outside. The boys have been riding their bikes as much as they can. They are going to be super sad when it's too cold to want to ride them anymore. They have had so much fun riding up and down the street with friends.Carson and Travis have decided that the three trees in our yard make a pretty good hideout/club house and can be found out there with a loot of swords, guns, binoculars and other important gear like that. We have also played several games of baseball in the backyard...

There is a pond right next to our house and the trees have been really pretty by them. We took advantage of the nice day yesterday and walked around it to see the ducks and throw some rocks.
On our walk.

The fun little pond.

We had to stop to throw rocks for a bit. Don't worry, the ducks stay on the other side of the pond so they aren't disturbed.
We tried to take a picture but Landon wanted nothing to do with it!

These are the ducks that occupy the pond. Our neighbor take care of them when the winter comes.

And, Landon has been mastering his climbing skills at night when we can't be outside. He loves to climb in the movie basket and then climb out and repeat! He's getting pretty good at it.

Birthday bash!

On Thursday, we got to finally celebrate Landon's first birthday with all of our family. We decided to have soups for dinner since the weather was cold. We had soups, rolls, cinnamon rolls, and of course, cake and ice cream. After dinner, we opened gifts and Landon got some really fun new toys and some really cute clothes.  After gifts, the bigger kids hit open a pinata and then we had cake. It's so awesome to be able to have so much family around to gather with during these special times. We are so grateful for all they do for us and for all their love! Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated Landon turning one!
The birthday boy with his balloons and my lame attempt to make a pinata.

Uncle Jason got the party started by bringing three huge angry bird beach ball guys! The kids had a blast with them!

Landon enjoying some chilli for dinner.

Some of the crowd eating some dinner.

Some more of our family.

Stetson, Travis and Carson eating their dinner.

Opening gifts. Landon had lots of help from his older siblings and cousins to make sure he got the job done in a timely manner.

Taking in the craziness.

Landon checking out some of his new toys from his grandmas and grandpas!

Kandace attempting to break open the pinata.

Travis winding up!

The crew looking on.

Stetson giving it a swing.

Carson's turn. He was able to smack it open on his second swing.

Yay candy!

Landon's smash cake.

My sister joined us from Logan via face time. Landon kept talking to her while he was eating.

Starting to dig in!

Oh...cake!

Yummy cake!! By the time he was done with it, there was NO shape left to it. Just a mound of cake and frosting.
